Project Overview

Victoria Bakers is a bakery and takeaway coffee café offering a wide range of products from cakes and pastries to cookies, alongside on-the-go coffee. The client requested a modern, clean identity with design that gives the premium feel. The project focused on creating a logo and packaging system that could reflect both the cafe and bakery sides of the business while maintaining cohesion across the brand.

Design Approach

The logo features a circular coffee cup stain as the main frame, emphasizing the café aspect while unifying the brand across products. Bold, clean typography ensures clarity and recognisability. The design was intended to be versatile across both coffee and pastry applications, including packaging, merchandise, and point-of-sale materials.

Two colour palettes were developed to reflect the dual nature of the business:

Coffee Shop Palette

For the café side, a sophisticated palette of brown, cream/beige, pink, and rose gold was selected. The brown and rose gold combination adds a premium, elegant feel, while cream and pink introduce warmth and approachability suitable for quick, on-the-go service.

Pastry & Bakery Palette

For the pastry side, three pastel shades were finalised: pastel teal, pastel yellow/beige, and pastel pink. Terrazzo-style patterns resembling confetti or sprinkles were applied across packaging and visual assets to convey a playful, fun, and celebratory tone. Standard yellow-gold outlines and elements were added to maintain consistency with the premium coffee side of the brand.

Color Palette

The brand balances sophistication and fun through colour:

  • Coffee palette: brown + cream/beige + pink + rose gold for premium, urban café feel

  • Pastry palette: pastel teal + pastel yellow/beige + pastel pink with gold accents for playful and festive packaging

  • Gold elements unify both sides, ensuring the brand feels cohesive while allowing each sub-brand to stand out individually.

Outcome

The logo and packaging system successfully communicate both the premium coffee experience and the fun, playful pastry offerings. The coffee cup stain logo provides instant recognisability, while the colour palettes and terrazzo elements distinguish the two sides of the business. The final designs were applied across packaging and visual assets, ready for production, creating a cohesive, versatile, and appealing brand identity for Victoria Bakers.
